McManis Pinot Noir – A Rare Find

By: Jon Thorsen Last Updated: January 20, 2020

Solid Pinot Noir Under $10! The McManis Family Vineyards Pinot Noir from Lodi.

McManis Pinot Noir – A Rare Find

Predominantly Pinot Noir along with a bit of Petite Sirah from Lodi, California. The wine is aged in French and American oak for 6 months.

Sample submitted for review. The McManis Pinot Noir has an SRP of $12 and is available for as low as $9. Ready to buy? Check your local retailers.

From the bottle:

At the heart of a river junction at a special estate in California lies McManis Family Vineyards, where five generations of family farmers have perfected the art of growing fruit with outstanding depth of flavor. Our winemaking team then crafts fruit into beautiful wines for everyday enjoyment.

Our Pinot Noir is bursting with aroma and flavor, leading with ripe red cherry, strawberry, and raspberry. The wine is silky on the palate with red fruit and vanilla undertones, culminating in a clean, lasting finish.

13.5% Alcohol

The 2017 McManis Pinot Noir begins with a very pleasing aroma chock full of cherry vanilla cola, raspberry and licorice plus a touch of some earthy rhubarb notes. The wine tastes surprisingly solid for such a low price. The medium-bodied wine features lots of sweet cherry and red berry notes, a soft and smooth mouthfeel and nice touches of creamy vanilla throughout. Light touches of spice lead into the dry, sweet cherry and vanilla finish. This is simply good stuff, a rare find for Pinot Noir under $10.

Ready to buy? Check your local retailers.
