We love trying new to us varieties and today we have a good one. Teran is an indigenous Croatian variety that is part of the Refosco family of grapes. It is grown primarily in the Istrian Peninsula which covers the northern coastline of Croatia. Today we’re checking out an example of a sparkling rosé made from this dark-skinned grape.
Lightness of Being Istria
Sparkling wine both refreshing and revealing its formidable character. The perfect summer aperitif when you want to beat the heat.

11.5% Alcohol
The non-vintage Vina Laguna Perla Rosé Brut begins with a pleasing, inviting aroma full of fresh cherry, strawberry, raspberry and watermelon.
The wine tastes crisp and quite quaffable. Full of fine bubbles and featuring similar flavors to the nose, this is a very refreshing sparkling rosé. While it’s not very complex it is light and easy to drink and features good balance. It makes a great aperitif.
It ends crisp and dry. This is a super easy (and refreshing) way to try a new grape varietal!
