We almost forgot about the VINTJS label from Trader Joe’s as we haven’t seen it in the store for quite a while. Price-wise it slots in at the same level as the Trader Joe’s Reserve wines. Let’s check it out.

The 2021 VINTJS Redwood Valley Zinfandel opens with a very jammy but pleasing aroma full of dark berry fruit, spice and licorice.
Tasting reveals that this is indeed a pretty juicy, jammy example of Zin. Full of dark berry fruit again when tasting and with nice touches of spice throughout, it’s not particularly Zin-like but still tasty.
It ends dry and long and was similar on day 2.
