Produced with a combination of estate fruit as well as fruit from other local growers, the grapes were all grown organically (and biodynamically) and harvested by hand.

The wines are fermented using natural yeasts and then aged 50% in stainless steel and 50% in large, neutral wooden casks - a fabulous combination that preserves the fresh, bright fruit character but also adds a silky texture and mouthfeel.

First up let's let's check out the 2018 Wittmann 100 Hills Dry Riesling, which is 100% Riesling and has 7.0 g/L of residual sugar.

A modern classic. Elegant with invigorating freshness of grapefruit and peach. Amazingly juicy and fresh with lively acidity and a fine minerality. An essential everyday Riesling to be enjoyed with seasonal salads, fresh vegetables, white meats or fish.

The 2018 Wittmann 100 Hills Riesling Dry opens with a very pleasing aroma of green apple, pear, honeysuckle, lemon, nectarine and just a touch of petrol.

Taking a sip reveals a refreshing and zesty wine with similar flavors to the nose but the fruit is fleshy and even a bit juicy in the mouth. With some steely minerality and good acidity this is a very well balanced and delicious wine.

It ends with a dry, long, lip-smacking finish that dares you not to take another sip!

Next let's take a look at the 2018 Wittmann 100 Hills Dry Pinot Blanc which is 100% Pinot Blanc and has 5.7 g/L of residual sugar.

The 2018 Wittmann 100 Hills Pinot Blanc Dry begins with an attractive, enticing aroma of lemon zest, apple, pear, some light floral aromas and a touch of a nutty note.

The wine tastes smooth and even a bit creamy with slightly juicy flavors similar to the nose but more tart in the mouth. It even tastes a touch sweet but its not, it's just the refreshing fruit. Really well balanced, this is rather elegant and quite delicious. It makes a really nice combo and contrast with the Riesling.

It ends with another dry, long, lip-smacking finish of zesty fruit. Lovely!
