35% Shiraz, 23% Merlot, 15% Frappato, 10% Nerello Mascalese, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Sangiovese and 2% Pinot Noir from Sicily, Italy.

This unique Sicilian wine is made from 7 grape varietals that are slightly dried, hence the name 7 Sicilians. The wine has a deep ruby-red color with a pleasant fruity nose of jam with spicy notes. Full bodied with a supple finish and soft tannins. Enjoy it with pasta. Pizza, grilled meats, seasoned cheese…or even on its own!

The 2022 7 Sicilians Rosso Terre Siciliane opens with assorted berry fruit notes on the nose along with touches of spice, vanilla and chocolate.
The wine tastes quite soft and smooth and is balanced with good flavor. It is definitely on the simple side but it’s very easy to drink and it paired quite nicely with our takeout sausage and pepperoni pizza. Featuring more berry fruit in the mouth with just a touch of sweetness, a little burst of spice comes out on the mid-palate and leads into the dry, grippy, decent length finish.
This is a nice little wine for the low price. It was similar on day 2.
