Welcome to Syrah Nirvana! Save over $50 on the Amavi Cellars Syrah from the Walla Walla Valley until Tuesday 4/14 at noon.
Today’s Insider Deal channels a little bit of the Northern Rhone in the Walla Walla Valley! We’re returning to a favorite producer for another fantastic wine (with a Taste Rating of 10) wine made from one of our favorite varieties.
As we noted when we offered the Cabernet from Amavi a few weeks back, buying Cabs from the Walla Walla Valley typically puts quite a dent in your wallet. That is no less the case with Syrah.
In fact, the wine-searcher average for a single bottle of Walla Walla Syrah is currently $96!
Well, this week’s deal, which we’ve dubbed the “Syrah Nirvana 3-Pack“, gets you the already reasonably priced $33 Amavi Cellars Walla Walla Valley Syrah for just $20 per bottle!
That’s a savings of over $50 (45%) after factoring in our super low $5 shipping cost (versus the typical $18 shipping cost for 3 bottles from the winery).
At just 1,550 cases produced the 2017 vintage is only available directly from the winery at the SRP. There are lots of high scores for this wine too with Wine & Spirits giving it 92 points.
This deal is available to ship to the following states: AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, FL, GA, IA, ID, IL, KS, LA, MA, ME, MI, MN, MO, MT, NC, ND, NE, NM, NV, NY, OH, OR, PA, TN, TX, VA, WA, WI and WY
This is a limited time, winery direct offer facilitated by our friends at Wine Country Connect. Sale ends Tuesday April 14 at noon (PST) unless it sells out sooner. Shipping is a flat $5 no matter how many 3-packs you buy! Clicking on the buy button above will take you to the site winedealmaker.com for checkout. If you don't see the embedded buy box click here to order. The wines will ship 5-7 days after the conclusion of the offer.
The 2017 Amavi Cellars Syrah is 85% Syrah and 15% Grenache from estate vineyards all in the Walla Walla Valley of Oregon and Washington State. The exact vineyard split is 31% Seven Hills, 23% Les Collines, 21% Stone Valley, 14% Summit View and 11% Pepper Bridge.
The wine spends time in 100% French oak, 14% of which was new and the rest neutral.
100% Estate – 100% Sustainable – 100% Walla Walla Valley
The name Amavi (ah-mah-vee) was coined by combining the Latin words "amor + vita + vinum" (love, life and wine). Amavi is family owned, and we grow our own grapes. Our vineyards straddle the Washington/Oregon border in the high desert climate of the Walla Walla Valley AVA.
The 2017 Amavi Cellars Syrah begins with a very pleasing aroma of blackberry, plum, some violet notes, a little cedar and just a hint of smoked meat and earth.
Tasting reveals lots of blackberry fruit, a silky smooth mouthfeel plus firm tannins and lively acidity. There are also lovely touches of chocolate, vanilla, black tea, licorice and much more under the juicy fruit. This reminds me of a good Northern Rhone Syrah!
It ends dry, grippy and super long with tons of deep blackberry flavors and lots of the same accents from the palate. Delicious! This one needs an hour to two to really open up and then it's just fantastic. I love it.
