From the bottle:
Benessere is the Italian word for living the good life and reflects our dedication to producing high-quality, Napa Valley-grown, Italian varietals and providing, warm, gracious hospitality.
Aromas of grapefruit zest and jasmine with flavors of Meyer lemon and passion fruit on the crisp finish.
I'll be the first to admit that Pinot Grigio isn't always my thing -- it's not that I don't like it, it's simply that so much of what is on the market is just watered down, lifeless plonk. Not so with today's wine!
The 2016 Benessere Napa Valley Pinot Grigio begins with an enticing aroma of peach, lemongrass, lime, grapefruit, honeysuckle and even a touch of baking spice. Tasting reveals a dry wine with a vibrant mouthfeel and loads of zesty grapefruit, lime and nectarines along with a good bit of stony minerality. This is definitely not your typical Pinot Grigio! It ends with good acidity and a tart, lasting finish featuring more mineral notes. This is the type of wine that I could drink every day. Bulk Buy!
