Napa Valley's oldest winery was founded in 1861 by Charles Krug, the visionary father of Napa Valley winemaking. In 1943, Cesare and Rosa Mondavi purchased this iconic estate and built upon its reputation for innovation and uncompromising quality.
Their son, our father, Peter Mondavi Sr., proudly shepherded the winery for some 73 years, developing or prized estate vineyards throughout the Napa Valley. Today, we carry the torch forward as stewards of this great estate, passionately perfecting an enduring legacy for the generations to come.

I don't know about you but my thoughts are turning to spring. And warmer weather brings to mind a whole new set of wines, like Sauvignon Blanc. Today we've got a pretty nice one from one of the originals in Napa Valley.
The 2019 Charles Krug Sauvignon Blanc opens with pleasing aromas of lime, citrus, grapefruit and a bit of grassiness. Tasting the wine reveals it to be nice and flavorful with lots of grapefruit and other flavors similar to the nose. Balanced and with good acidity this is just a really nice example of Sauvignon Blanc at a great price. It ends crisp, clean and zesty on the lasting finish.
