Today we check out the latest vintage of this highly quaffable Pinot Grigio from Aldi, the Elementalist Pinot Grigio. Is it still a Bulk Buy?
Pinot Grigio from California. The wine does not see any time in oak.
The Elementalist Pinot Grigio is available for just $6.99 exclusively at Aldi.
Captivated by the pursuit of curiosity, Elementalist is a study in equilibrium, attuning human ingenuity to the natural cycles of vineyards. Coaxed throughout the season and picked at peak ripeness, grapes are carefully pressed to express the vibrancy of California vineyards, then aged in stainless steel to preserve hallmark brightness.
Aromas of white peach, key lime and orange blossom combine with crisp acidity, subtle pear notes and a whisper of melon. Pairs well with appetizers or salads – anything that is light and refreshing. Best served chilled.

I'm not sure why, but it seems a bit like Aldi can't go wrong with their selection of inexpensive Pinot Grigio. We've reviewed a number of these and found them quite delightful, far from the watered down, lifeless plonk you often find on supermarket shelves. Today we've got another winner.
The 2020 Elementalist Pinot Grigio is nicely aromatic in the glass featuring green apple, pear, lemon and a little honeysuckle. It's quite a good start and tasting backs it up.
Taking a sip reveals a crisp, fruity, flavorful wine - there's nothing not to like here! With a lively mouthfeel and nice balance this is quite good at this low price. It features similar flavors to the nose but they are more tart in the mouth and there's a bit of added tropical fruit. It has nice depth as well.
It ends crisp and dry with lots of lingering fruit. This one makes a great warm weather sipper!
