The 2017 Il Conte Villa Prandone Marinus Piceno Superiore begins with a strong, enticing aroma of ripe dark fruit with some raisin and prune notes plus pleasing baking spice, licorice and more.
You know right from the first sip that this is a tasty blend! In fact, it almost tastes like it could have some dried grapes in the mix like Amarone.
Rich and savory, the full-bodied wine features layers and layers of deep dark fruit plus well integrated spice. Fine tannins lead into the dry, very long, grippy and delicious finish of lasting spicy fruit.
This is excellent!
