INSIDER DEAL All-Star White Wines Intro Pack!

We’re delighted to be back with another Insider Deal All-Star White Wine Intro Pack! This is the fourth rendition of this very popular sampler pack designed to introduce you to some of our best-selling wineries and favorite wines. This year we’ve got four single vineyard, small production beauties!

The 2026-2027 All-Star White Wine 4-Pack includes one bottle of each of the following wines:

  • 2021 Gard RHN Blanc – a Rhone-style blend of 50% Viognier and 50% Roussanne that spent 18 months in new (33%) and neutral French oak. This wine can easily age for a decade or more. It also has scores as high as 95 and 96 points! Just 163 cases were produced of this beautiful wine from the estate Corfu Crossing Vineyard in the Royal Slope of Washington State. Gard is one of our favorite wineries and this complex and deep wine delivers spectacularly – and it’s still getting better! It normally retails for $50 a bottle.
  • 2023 Tooth & Nail Stasis Chenin Blanc – Smooth, round, fresh and fruity with some lovely mineral notes and a wonderful, layered texture to the mouthfeel, this is an excellent example of the variety that spends 6 months in neutral French oak followed by another 5 months in stainless steel. From an undisclosed vineyard in San Benito County, only 135 cases were produced. The wine normally retails for $45 and we rate it at 91-93 points.
  • 2023 Tin Barn Vineyards Sonoma Valley Sauvignon Blanc – comes from the 30+ year-old vines of the Uboldi Vineyard at the base of Sonoma Mountain, tended by famed grower Chuy Ordaz. In addition to those wonderful grapes, Tin Barn and co-owner/winemaker Michael Lancaster takes the extra step of barrel fermenting portions of the wine in neutral French oak (30%) with the balance in stainless steel. The wine is then aged in concrete egg (43%) and stainless steel (57%), with no malolactic fermentation. The result is an enhanced mouthfeel while still preserving the wine’s crisp acidity and vibrancy. Rich, fresh, juicy, crisp, and tangy, it is absolutely delicious. Only 353 cases were produced. We rate it as 91-93 Points.
  • 2024 Boomtown Pinot Gris – We love Washington State Pinot Gris and this is an excellent example from the Two Gun Vineyard in the Ancient Lakes AVA at 1,500 feet of elevation in the Columbia Valley. This appellation is one of the very best spots for white wines and it just takes one sip of this light-bodied, refreshingly irresistible wine to know why!

This is not a flash deal, like most of what we offer, but instead the intro pack is available for you to take advantage of as long as our inventory lasts. However, with an SRP of $143 and our discount of 58% we don’t expect that to be long…

And now, on to our full reviews of each wine!

Up first we’ve got the 2021 Gard RHN Blanc. You will receive 1 bottle in the Intro Pack.

2021 Gard RHN Blanc

From the winery:

2021 Gard RHN Blanc
Corfu Crossing Vineyard, Royal Slope

With a pronounced yellow hue, this Viognier and Roussanne blend begins with ripe stone fruit, ginger, tangerine peel, white pepper, and potpourri. Swirling brings peach cobbler, butterscotch, and oak spice. The mouthfeel is broad and fleshy, with tons of ripe white fruits and spicy components. Extremely layered, with phenomenal texture and sweetness, the acid presentation here is outstanding. The longer the wine stays in the glass, the more you’ll be able to find. Beautifully balanced and concentrated, this fantastic Rhône-style blend can be drunk now or aged for another 15 years. Decanting recommended.

THE WINEMAKING: Whole cluster pressed, and barrel fermented. Aged in new and neutral French oak 300L barrels for 18 months.

THE VINEYARD: Gård Vintners wines are 100% estate grown sustainably at Lawrence Vineyards, featuring 14 distinct vineyard sites. With elevations that range 870 feet to 1,675 feet and primarily south-facing slopes, Lawrence Vineyards provide a great framework for grape production, while the diversity of each of the locations delivers a high level of complexity to Gård wines. Lawrence Vineyards is certified sustainable.

2021 Gard RHN Blanc Back Label

And now on to our review:

The 2021 Gard RHN Blanc opens with a wonderful, varied aroma full of floral notes, a little peach, a little mango, some melon and white pepper and touches of sea salt, ginger and lots more as you swirl and sniff. It’s a fantastic start!

Tasting the wine reveals loads of wonderful layers to discover including some intriguing secondary notes from the age. The wine also features great depth and juicy acidity with a nice bit of an oily viscosity to the mouthfeel. It’s just delicious and quite food flexible as well.

It ends tart and juicy on the long, lip-smacking finish. It may be 5 years old, but this was built to age with 18 months in new (33%) and neutral French oak barrels and it still has a lot of development left. The winery and various reviewers out there gave it drinking windows extending to 2030-2036. It’s really excellent!

Next we’ve got the 2023 Tooth & Nail Stasis Chenin Blanc. You will receive 1 bottle in the Intro Pack.

2023 Tooth & Nail Stasis Chenin Blanc

From the winery:

2023 Tooth & Nail Stasis Chenin Blanc

An expressive rendition of California’s subversive yet enduring white grape
Grapes: Chenin Blanc

Aromas: Pear, honeycomb, kiwi peel
Flavors: Nectarine, grapefruit, lime zest, ginger spice
Texture: Bright and fleshy with minerality on the finish

Aging: 6 months in neutral French oak + 5 months in stainless steel
Production: Small-batch winemaker selection, 135 cases produced

Tasting notes: The Chenin Blanc presents dazzling floral aromas of pear, apricot, honeycomb and kiwi peel. The mouthfeel is bright and quenching, with fleshy textures and flavors of nectarine, lime zest, grapefruit and ginger spice. Racy acidity and slate-like minerality linger on the finish. An expressive rendition of California’s subversive yet enduring white grape.

Winemaking: The fruit was hand-harvested in the cool morning hours and whole-cluster pressed into stainless steel tanks. After the wine was initially chilled and settled, Winemaker Jeremy Leffert stirred the tanks before barreling the wine down with the heavy lees for fermentation in neutral French oak barrels — a method designed to build texture while maintaining freshness.

After fermentation, the wine was aged sur lie for six months in barrels, then blended and returned for five months of maturation in stainless steel tanks.

And now on to our review:

The 2024 Boomtown Pinot Gris by Dusted Valley opens with pleasing aromas with notes of pear, apricot and citrus plus touches of tropical fruit and some very nice, almost salty, minerality. It’s a great start.

Taking a sip reveals similar flavors to the nose and also features good acidity and more underlying mineral notes that are almost chalky in the mouth. It also has a nice vibrant mouthfeel, and good depth on the fruit. It’s light-bodied and refreshing but has also some nice complexity to it as well. This is pleasingly pleasant!

It ends dry, tangy and quite long and lasting on the finish.

Cheers,
Jon
