The grapes for this wine actually came from Bokisch Vineyards (one of our favorites) and their estate vineyard in the Clements Hills AVA, which is just to the west of the Sierra Foothills AVA.

And now on to our review:
The 2017 Twisted Oak Petite Sirah opens with a very pleasing, harmonious aroma of black cherry with a little dried fruit plus pepper and spice. It’s a great start.
Taking a sip reveals the wine to be juicy with lots of delicious fruit, very well integrated spice and good structure. This is tasty stuff and it gets even better with air. It has also aged wonderfully at this point with some nice secondary notes that can only come with age.
It ends dry and very long on the satisfying finish. It was perhaps even a bit more savory on day 2. Grab it while you can!
