Crisp and delicious, we review the non-vintage Specially Selected Cremant d’Alsace Brut from Aldi.
A sparkling wine blend of Auxerrois, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir and Riesling from Alsace, France. The wine is made in the traditional method just like Champagne and aged for a minimum of 9 months on the lees per the production requirements in the region.
This wine is available exclusively at Aldi and sells for $14.99. As usual, there’s not much info available on the wine itself. It is imported by GCF Direct Import.
From the bottle:
Specially Selected Cremant d’Alsace sparkling wine is crisp and refreshing with a golden straw color and persistent bubbles. This luxurious cremant features aromas of flowers and is both elegant and balanced on the palate. As an aperitif, at cocktail parties, or receptions, it is the classic drink for all festive occasions.

The Specially Selected Cremant d’Alsace Brut begins with a fresh, inviting aroma of citrus including orange, lemon and grapefruit plus some green apple and a little bit of a pastry note. It’s a nice start.
Taking a sip reveals a dry, crisp and delicious sparkler with similar flavors to the nose and lots of fine bubbles.
It ends crisp, dry, long and satisfying, practically begging you to take another sip. This is really nice!
