The 2022 Pagos Del Moncayo Prados Garnacha Cuvée opens with a pleasing, inviting aroma of dark ripe fruit with some garrigue-like herbal notes and a touch of spice.
The wine tastes smooth and medium bodied and features similar flavors to the nose but with juicy fruit, that is a bit brighter in the mouth. It also has good depth and balance and some light well-integrated spice notes. This is a nice example of Garnacha that is easy to drink. It gets better as it has more air too.
It ends dry, very long and lasting on the finish and was perhaps even slightly better on day 2.
