Locations AR Argentinian Wine - Smooth, Ripe and Juicy! The extremely enjoyable Locations AR Argentinian Wine.

Malbec with a small percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon from the Uco Valley, Mendoza, Argentina. The wine is aged in barrels for 10 months prior to release.

The Locations AR Argentinian Wine has an SRP of $18 and is available for as low as $14. Ready to buy? Check your local retailers. Imported by Locations Wines. Sample submitted for review.

    From the winery:

The long awaited third release of our Argentinian blend is here. AR-5 is comprised primarily of Malbec, with a small percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon in the mix. The unique climate of the Uco Valley in Mendoza produces Malbec with concentrated berries that reflect the brilliance, depth, and intensity of the neighboring Andes themselves. The Cabernet Sauvignon increases complexity and adds dimension, bringing the blend around full circle. Despite the twenty-four hour trip to get there, and the logistics involved with getting the wine here, it's wholly worth the effort to partake in this gripping endeavor.

    14% Alcohol

The Locations AR Argentinian Wine by Dave Phinney (this being the AR-5 designation) begins with a fabulous aroma of black cherry and other dark berries, lots of lavender and some dusty spice. Unlike some of the other Locations wines (France and Spain for example) which tend to be innovative and atypical blends, this one is pretty straightforward for Mendoza. Smooth, ripe, juicy and balanced with great structure and nice touches of spice, this is a great example of Malbec. It ends dry, savory and long.
