The 2018 Markham Napa Valley Merlot opens with pleasing aromas of plum plus red and black cherry with touches of spice, chocolate and vanilla.
The wine tastes quite good features that signature smooth and round Merlot mouthfeel. Full of dark fruit and lots of licorice and spice everything works together nicely in this balanced wine.
It ends quite long, dry and grippy. The SRP is up there but if you can find this under $20 it hits the bulls-eye.
