Wow, what a mix of grapes, these are some of our absolute favorite!
The 2018 Matchbook Petite Sirah begins with a pleasing aroma of plum, blackberry and other berry flavors plus cola, licorice, and nice hints of peppery spice and vanilla.
The wine tastes deliciously tannic and full of rich, juicy, deep flavors. This is a substantial wine! It features a smooth and luscious mouthfeel with similar flavors to the nose along with a bit more of a baking spice component in the mouth.
It finishes dry, long and grippy. This is a lovely example of Petite Sirah beefed up (if that's possible) by the addition of the Tannat and Petit Verdot. Delicious!
