Extra Dry Sparkling Wine
11% Alcohol
The Mionetto Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore begins with a pleasing aroma of granny smith apple, pear and flowers. Tasting the fresh and delicious wine reveals plenty of bubbles and zippy acidity. In the mouth it features more granny smith apple and pear along with citrus and lemon notes. It ends dry and crisp.
Next up is the Mionetto Cuvée Anniversario 1887–2017 Millesimato Brut Nature. It has 0-3 g/L of residual sugar, which is a bit unusual for Prosecco but we found rather delightful as well. It has an SRP of $25 and is available for as low as $23 (Saturday Splurge).
Mionetto celebrates its 130 years of history with "Cuvée Anniversario 1887–2017", a symbol of a long winemaking tradition and the unique Mionetto style. The grapes of this 'brut nature' cuvée are hand-harvested in the vineyards of Valdobbiadene DOCG region. The grapes are gently pressed and the wine rests on the lees for up to 3-4 months. Available in this special packaging of only 10,000 bottles, it is fruity and elegant with a long lasting finish.

The 2016 Mionetto Cuvée Anniversario 1887–2017 Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG Millesimato Brut Nature begins with a very pleasing aroma of apple, citrus, pear, white flowers and just a hint of freshly baked bread. Taking a sip reveals a crisp, delightful wine that is very easy to drink. This one cranks it up a notch and we love the "brut nature" nature of it with little to no sugar. Add in lively acidity and lovely bubbles and this is definitely a worthwhile special edition. It ends crisp and refreshing.
