Montebuena is the name of one of the best quality areas of Labastida. It is located in the eastern part of the village and covers more than 160 hectares (395 acres). Brilliant deep ruby red color, fruity aromas. Montebuena Red has a spicy vanilla bouquet and is smooth and fruity in the mouth with some well-integrated secondary nuances, full-flavored and a persistent pleasant finish.
14% Alcohol
The 2016 Montebuena Rioja begins with an inviting aroma of raspberry, black cherry, spice, red licorice, and a little vanilla. Taking a sip reveals a soft, smooth and tasty medium-bodied wine with great balance. Nothing is over the top, it all just works together really well. Tart fruit, fine tannins and gentle touches of spice build on the mid-palate and lead into the dry finish. This is good stuff, especially at this low price.
