All sourced within Sonoma County, we searched for the highest quality fruit. The combined vineyards put all the best into your glass from our friendly neighborhood vineyards. The vintage experienced a very good growing season with cooler night temperatures during harvest which allowed the grapes to mature at slower pace, accumulating flavors and retaining acidity. 2019 is a very flavorful vintage with great aromas and flavors as a result.
From the fruity aromas to the lingering finish, our Friends Red showcases the best of the blend. Spiced aromas of blackberry and cherry. Rich flavors of red cherries, black plum and light toasted oak accents. It is a medium-bodied harmonious wine with a round fruity finish and smooth tannins. Made in a ready to drink style-no aging required.

You can tell the 2019 Pedroncelli Friends Red has a fair amount of oak influence right off the bat, but it's very attractive and integrated well so there's no real need to let this one breathe. Sniffing reveals spicy red and black cherry with menthol and licorice notes.
Tasting the wine shows an easy drinking and enjoyable red blend. It features similar flavors to the nose with juicy fruit in the mouth with perhaps just a bit of residual sugar. This is a tasty, uncomplicated red to break out at a party as it will surely have wide appeal.
It ends dry, slightly grippy and long with lingering licorice and a bit of a peppery note. The wine was just as good on day 2.
