The 2019 Piedra Creek Winery Pinot Noir begins with a very attractive aroma of ripe fruit (red cherry and strawberry) plus licorice, nice touches of spice, and bit of an earthy note.

Tasting the wine reveals loads of delicious juicy fruit, a smooth mouthfeel and good balance. It features some nice light touches of oak but this one is mostly about the fantastic, flavorful, juicy fruit with lots of cranberry that carries all the way through to the finish. This is really lovely!

It ends dry, juicy and very long. We love it! We found it to be at its best after a few hours of air, so plan appropriately. It was just as good on day 2.
