From the winery:
The floral notes of the “Loureiro” are merged to perfection with the fruit of the “Alvarinho”. The result is a complex, elegant wine with a long, persistent after-taste.
Quinta da Aveleda is the ideal choice to accompany refined salads comprising seafood, goat cheese-based starters and dishes made from white meats such as turkey or chicken. It must be drunk very cold at a temperature of 8 to 10ºC.

As we explained a couple weeks ago, Vinho Verde should be your go-to summertime wine. We've been highlighting some of our favorites over the last few weeks as we've delved more into this region and today we've got a real winner.
The 2014 Quinta da Aveleda Vinho Verde smells of grapefruit, citrus, floral notes and perhaps a bit of fig. It's a light, delicate aroma that hides the rich explosion you're in for when taking a sip. Super tart citrus and lemon-lime deliciousness are wrapped up with a touch of creaminess. It's not bubbly but still quite lively in the mouth with good acidity and lots of mineral-soaked fruit. Very fresh, this a great summer wine that's easy to drink down in hot weather when you serve it very cold as recommended. It ends crisp, fresh and dry with lots of lingering tart fruit. It'd be hard to go wrong with this wine at this price, Bulk Buy!
