Schneider Riesling - Truly Tasty

Riesling from the vineyards in the former garden of the Friedelsheimer Schloss castle in Pfalz, Germany.

Sample submitted for review. The Schneider Riesling is available for around $12. Ready to buy? Check your local retailers.

From the winery:

The Friedelsheimer Schloss castle, formerly the centre of political life in 16th century Europe, was one of the most impressive Renaissance castle complexes. These days we harvest the grapes for our ‘small’ Riesling in the former pleasure gardens of the castle.

12.5% Alcohol

The 2015 Schneider Riesling begins with an enticing aroma full of fresh, ripe peach, green apple and a little tropical fruit.

The wine tastes delicious with a lovely mouthfeel, lively acidity and just a touch of effervescence. It is full of fresh fruit flavors similar to the nose. It gives the impression of being slightly sweet but I’m guessing the residual sugar content is not very high. Very refreshing and with good balance, this is good stuff and quite food friendly too.

It ends with a crisp, dry, long and refreshing finish.
