From the bottle:
Bright friendly fruit forward flavors that are true to Oregon Pinot Noir: soft mineral overtones of cherry with a bright lingering finish. Spindrift Cellars, located in the heart of the Willamette Valley, produces “strikingly original” wines, expressive of the varietal characteristics of the grapes.

Today’s wine takes its name from word spindrift which is the spray that comes off the tops of waves on a windy day; however, I’m not sure of the significance of the name here as this is one smooth Pinot Noir!
The 2013 Spindrift Cellars Pinot Noir begins with pleasant aromas of raspberry along with lots of mint and even a little pine tree. Cola, licorice, spice, and tons of tasty red cherry fruit all combine perfectly when tasting. Add in good acidity and great balance and you’ve got a super drinkable and extremely enjoyable Pinot Noir. The cola, licorice and spice notes along with hints of mint come to the front on the long-lasting, satisfying, dry finish. It pushes our limit at $19.99 but such is life with good Pinot Noir, especially those from the Willamette Valley.
