This is not your typical steel-fermented Sauvignon Blanc either with the winery taking the extra step of fermenting portions of the wine in concrete and neutral oak barrels to enhance the mouthfeel without having the wine undergo malolactic fermentation. Hi Vista Vineyard is a windswept plot of acreage on the western edge of the Carneros appellation. We barrel ferment a small portion of this wine to add rich mouth feel, tank fermenting the balance to preserve its vibrant melon and citrus aromas. No malolactic fermentation is used, resulting in a refreshing wine with a crisp acidity on the palate.

The 2018 Tin Barn Hi Vista Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc begins with a very attractive and enticing aroma full of tropical fruit notes, melon, lemon, lime and other citrus. Yum.
The wine tastes rich, fresh, juicy, crisp and delicious. With great depth of flavor, great mouthfeel and great balance this is just a really lovely example of Sauvignon Blanc that is super drinkable and delicious. Double yum.
It ends with a dry, quite long and lip-smackingly good finish. Triple Yum!
