In case you missed it in our Argentinian Adventures Part 1 post the other day, we were excited to announce a special project here at Reverse Wine Snob. For over five years now we've recommended our favorite wines and tried as much as we could to point you to places where you can buy them. Still, the number one question/complaint we get is "We can't find the wine you recommended!"
After seeing way too many of our favorite wines with limited distribution because they don't come from one of the big 3 companies, or because they don't fit the current "rules" (Argentina = Malbec only with a few Cabernets thrown in) we've decided to take matters into our own hands.
The deciding moment for this was seeing the stunning breadth of excellent wines made in Argentina that simply never make it onto our shelves. So upon our return we went out and sourced a number of our favorite wines from the trip. In order to maintain control and keep costs as low as possible we decided to do this ourselves -- there are no middlemen marking things up here, just one company (Vinoshipper) that takes care of the logistics/compliance end of things.
