Today's wine was made from grapes (Pinot Noir Clone 828) harvested specifically for rosé. It comes from the Bianchi-Sanchietti Vineyard in the Russian River Valley and was stainless steel fermented and aged for 3.5 months.
As we noted above, the AldenAlli label is named after Alden Lagasse (Chef Emeril Lagasse's wife) and Allison Kosta (Dan Kosta's wife at the time). The wine has been featured in Emeril's restaurants to much acclaim, but it appears the label has been discontinued going forward, probably due to the change in marital status.

The AldenAlli rosé is an intentional rosé, meaning that the fruit is picked specifically for this production (as opposed to being made from a saignee bleed). The 2021 vintage is crisp, elegant and endlessly refreshing with notes of fresh melon and light strawberry on the palate. We eagerly look forward to enjoying this wine with friends poolside in the spring sun.

The 2021 AldenAlli Rosé of Pinot Noir opens with a very pleasing aroma of melon, watermelon, strawberry, a little cherry and some nice floral notes.
Taking a sip reveals a light, lively and highly refreshing wine. It's immediately apparent that there were some very high-quality Pinot Noir grapes used in its making. Featuring a lovely smooth mouthfeel and good acidity the wine features similar flavors to the nose with touches of blood orange, lime and cranberry too.
It ends dry, crisp, long and lip-smacking. With great harmony throughout, what's not to like? This makes a great summer weather rosé.
