We found the Bear Bros Rosé we previously reviewed to be lacking some depth but a nice, quaffable hot weather wine nonetheless, especially at its low price. Let’s see if we can say the same for the Sauvignon Blanc.
The 2023 Bear Bros. Sauvignon Blanc opens with aromas of lemon, lime and other citrus, a little peach and just a hint of honeysuckle and a green herbal note, but no grassiness. It’s a bit shy on the nose but it’s a decent start.
Tasting the wine reveals it to be rich, juicy and perhaps a touch sweet, but full of flavor. It also does not have any grassy notes. Refreshing, easy to drink and good for a hot day, this one is also likely to have mass appeal.
It ends mostly dry and refreshing on the lip-smacking finish.
