Aldi delivers one for the buttery, oaky Chardonnay crowd, the Broken Clouds Sonoma Coast Chardonnay.
The Broken Clouds Chardonnay is available exclusively at Aldi and sells for just $8.99.
The Sonoma Coast appellation along the coast line of the Pacific Ocean is known for its cool climate. The Broken Clouds of this unique microclimate have created a full-bodied, fruit forward wine with delicious flavors of pear, green apple and a hint of vanilla, resulting in a supple mouth feel.
Pairs wonderfully with grilled salmon or chicken salad.
We’ve got one for the buttery Chardonnay crowd today! (Looking for something from Aldi a bit less oaky? Try the Sienna Glen Chardonnay.)
The 2017 Broken Clouds Chardonnay begins with aromas of banana, vanilla, lemon butter, citrus and whiffs of baking spice. You know right away what you’re in for with this one! The wine tastes smooth and spotlights flavors of banana cream, juicy tropical fruit and nice touches of vanilla and other oaky spices. It’s really quite nice if you enjoy this style. The wine ends with a long, satisfying finish featuring lingering whispers of State Fair corn on the cob.
