A college joke turned into a reality. It is Just. So. Bueno!
The Rhone Royalty! The best of the best has been carefully blended together and a wine of nobility was born! Approachable aromas of blackberries, cherries, and herbs that lead the way to flavors of dark berry fruits, full tannins, and a smooth finish.
Food Pairing: BBQ pork, filet mignon or oven roasted chicken.
14.1% Alcohol
The 2016 Chronic Cellars Sofa King Bueno begins with a very pleasing aroma of blackberry, lots of violet and lavender, a little smoky pepper and touches of herbs and spice. Tasting reveals a very smooth, very drinkable, very well put together wine. Juicy fruit and excellent touches of herbs and spice carry over from the nose. Licorice, cola, and a little leather turn to lingering chocolate and vanilla on the dry, very long finish. This one would be excellent with steaks or burgers and is a great example of a Rhone-style GSM blend with a little Petite Sirah and Tannat added for extra oomph!
