As we promised last week in our introduction to the rosé wines of Vinho Verde, today we are highlighting a great example, especially as we head into warmer weather and evenings on the patio.
The 2015 Estreia Vinho Verde Rosé begins with a pleasing aroma of raspberry and strawberry Sweet Tarts. As you might expect this is a sweet wine but the bubbles and acidity really help to keep it restrained and quite refreshing. Tasting reveals more berry fruit that is definitely on the tart side. This wine should be quite popular with fans of sweet rosé wines but it still retains a nice level of sophistication. Add in the low price and you've got a perfect porch pounder for the warm weather coming up. It ends crisp and sweet. A great way to introduce yourself and your friends to the rosé wines of Vinho Verde!
