But does it live up to the exquisite name? The Exquisite Collection Cotes de Provence Rosé from Aldi.
This wine is available exclusively at Aldi and sells for just $9.99, which is $2 more than the previous vintage. It is imported by Mack & Schuhle Inc.
Experience the fresh taste of red fruits with hints of strawberry in this dry, full-bodied rosé. Pairs well with fish, seafood, and salad.
Country of Origin: France (Côtes de Provence)
The 2019 Exquisite Collection Cotes de Provence Rosé from Aldi begins with quite an enticing aroma of peach, strawberry and light floral touches.
Taking a sip reveals the wine to be dry but full of plenty of delicious fruit, although it doesn't have quite the depth of flavor of the previous vintage. In the mouth it features similar flavors to the nose plus citrus and a little tropical fruit as well as a smooth and refreshing mouthfeel. Touches of minerality and perhaps just a hint of garrigue float under it all. Balanced and clean, this is a nice rosé.
A bit of tartness leads into the dry, medium-long finish. Overall, it costs $2 more than the previous vintage (which was a Bulk Buy) and doesn't taste quite as good, but it's still good enough to be recommended. We tasted it side by side with the Kirkland Signature Provence Rosé and that was clearly the better wine.
