The 2017 Imagery Pinot Noir begins with a very inviting aroma of black cherry and strawberry along with some leather, vanilla and a hint of rhubarb. The bouquet evolves quite nicely in the glass as it has time to breathe. Tasting reveals a smooth, soft and lovely medium-bodied Pinot Noir with a wonderful round mouthfeel. It features similar flavors to the nose plus ripe, juicy fruit, red licorice, cola and more. Again, it really continues to develop as it gets more air so this is a wine you will want to sip slowly and savor. It ends dry and long with a lingering sweet tart candy finish. The Petit Verdot is a very interesting addition here and I have to say it works quite well.
