This fantastic multi-vintage blend (2019, 2020, 2021 and a “splash” of 2022) of Napa Cabernet Sauvignon is discounted over $60 a bottle!
It is very similar to the multi-vintage Boomslang Napa Cab we previously offered, although this one is a bit riper and juicier.
It also has a 96 Point rating from Tasting Panel. We don’t rate it quite as high, but we do give it a very solid 9 Taste Rating (91-93 points).
Of course, this being Napa, the SRP is also quite Napa-like at $85 a bottle!
How can our discount be so big? Well to be fair, the wine probably isn’t often sold at the SRP even though it is not completely out of line for a Napa Valley Cab with such a pedigree and small production.
Perhaps it’s the non-vintage aspect of the wine, as that is a bit unusual, especially for buyers spending close to three digits on a bottle. Of course the flip side of that is that multiple vintages give a skilled winemaker even more opportunity to create an incredible blend.
And this is a downright delicious bottle, just like the Boomslang. Both wines make us wonder why more California wineries don’t do multi-vintage blends.

The Erikson & Caradin Raptor & Crimson Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon opens with an attractive aroma of blackberry, black cherry and baking spice with touches of mint, cedar, cigar box and more. It’s a very nice start.
The wine tastes smooth and features good balance, depth and concentration to go along with its juicy acidity. It also has similar flavors to nose but they are a bit riper in the mouth. This is a crowd pleaser that also has some nice complexity behind it.
It ends dry, grippy, quite long and rather savory. This is a really pleasing example of Cabernet and it was just as good on day 2!
