Intermingle Red Blend – Drink What You Like

By: Jon Thorsen Last Updated: October 7, 2019

Aldi adds to the popular slightly sweet and manufactured tasting California red blend category with their Intermingle Red.

Intermingle Red Blend – Drink What You Like

A blend of Zinfandel, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon from California.

The Intermingle Red Blend is available exclusively at Aldi and sells for just $6.99.

From the bottle:

Experience a convergence of character where vigor, passion, and grace come together to Intermingle. A smooth blend of luscious ripe soft berries and decadent flavors to excite your palate.

Three distinct California varietals – Zinfandel, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon – come together to create this luscious, memorable red wine.

Top notes of jam-like blackberry and fresh raspberry add a vibrancy while mid notes of red fruits give a full body, balancing out a bottom layer of firm tannins.

The intersection of bold, smooth and fruity make Intermingle a perfect partner for grilled meat and chicken.

Best when enjoyed between 55-65 degrees.

13.5% Alcohol

The 2017 Intermingle Red Blend begins with a pleasing aroma full of assorted berries plus a little vanilla and spice. The wine tastes a bit on the sweet side but it is a pretty nicely done blend for fans of this category. Berry fruit punch flavors, a soft and smooth mouthfeel and touches of oak lead the way in the mouth. It ends with more sweet berry fruit on the medium-long finish.

Sure it tastes a bit manufactured, but it’s a flavor profile a lot of people love so if you’re one of those people go to town! As we always say Drink What You Like!
