Today we’ve got the only single vineyard example of the batch, that not only comes from the exclusive Oak Knoll District, but the True Oak Vineyard within it. It is produced by PWP Wines, (Plata Wine Partners) who manage the True Oak Estate. They are primarily a private label producer.
Interestingly, the VP of winemaking at PWP is none other than Alison Crowe, a very familiar name for Costco buyers as she also makes a number of the Kirkland Signature bottlings.

The 2021 Member’s Mark Private Reserve True Oak Vineyard Oak Knoll District Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon opens with a pleasing aroma of black cherry, plum and touches of toasty oak plus a little baking spice, cedar and pencil lead. It’s an attractive start.
Taking a sip reveals a smooth and juicy wine with good structure and similar flavors to the nose. It also has a nice dense mouthfeel with good tannic structure yet is still quite easy to drink. It’s not as complex as some of the others but we found it enjoyable nonetheless.
It ends dry and grippy on the long finish and was similar on day 2.
