Russian River Valley Wine! The Best Wines From Russian River Valley

The Russian River Valley is a famed wine region in Sonoma County, California next to Dry Creek Valley. It is best known for excellent Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, and with good reason.

Lying along the river it is named for, this is one of the coolest spots in Sonoma. It also benefits from abundant fog and coastal breezes flowing through the Petaluma Gap.

And while Pinot Noir and Chardonnay dominate here, they are not the only grapes. There is also some excellent old-vine Zinfandel to be found along with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot as well as some highly sought-after cool-climate Syrah.
