The 2024 Specially Selected Touraine Sauvignon Blanc opens with lots of grassy and herbal notes along with some citrus and a little honeydew melon. It’s a solid start.

Unlike the Specially Selected Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc that we just reviewed, this one hits the grassy and herbal notes, both on the nose and when tasting. In addition to those flavors you’ll find some gooseberry notes in the mouth as well. This one tastes almost more New Zealand than French, although that is also common for the Touraine region.

It ends crisp, dry and long with lingering grassy notes.
