La Vieille Ferme Reserve Sparkling Rosé - Fresh and Bubbly

By: Jon Thorsen Published: July 22, 2020 Last Updated: February 25, 2023

Another refreshing wine from Famille Perrin, the La Vieille Ferme Reserve Sparkling Rosé.

La Vieille Ferme Reserve Sparkling Rose - Fresh and Bubbly

A Sparkling Wine Rosé blend of 40% Grenache, 40% Cinsault and 20% Pinot Noir from France.

Sample submitted for review. This wine has an SRP of $15 and is available for as low as $10. Ready to buy? Check your local retailers. Imported by Vineyard Brands.

    From the winery:

La Vieille Ferme Réserve Rosé Brut is designed to share your celebration in elegance and simplicity. Whether served as an aperitif with friends or at a lavish banquet, this wine will help you enjoy the memorable moment, bringing conviviality.

Made from vines planted on limestone soils which allows the roots to draw the necessary freshness and water they need to provide good acidity to the wine.

Once blended, the wines are rested in stainless steel tanks. The neutrality of the stainless steel allows us to preserve the fruit aromas and the freshness provided by the limestone soils. The elaboration finishes with the prise de mousse and, of course, bottling.

    12% Alcohol

The non-vintage La Vieille Ferme Reserve Sparkling Rosé Brut begins with a pleasing aroma of strawberry, raspberry and a little fresh baked bread.

Tasting reveals a nice basic sparkler full of tart red cherry fruit, more strawberry, a little watermelon and raspberry and a touch of tropical fruit. With lots of bubbles this is quite refreshing.

It ends with a crisp, dry, sour finish. It's not quite up to the level of the basic Vieille Ferme rosé in my opinion but it is still solid for the price.

Ready to buy? Check your local retailers.
