From the bottle:
I spoke to him only once. His words to me were few but remarkable, “A man’s life is short. Make yours a worthy one.” At the time I thought—in this life, he must have been born lucky. Years later, when I saw the horseshoes nailed above the worn threshold, flecks of gold still shining through their old, weathered appearance, I finally understood. He’d made his own luck.

The 2022 Luke Sauvignon Blanc opens with pleasing aromas of apricot, lemon, lime, a little tropical fruit and just a touch of grass and herbs. It’s a nice start.
Tasting the wine reveals similar flavors to the nose with a bit more tropical fruit in the mouth. There’s great depth on the rich fruit and the whole thing is packaged with a wonderful, lively acidity.
It ends dry and quite long on the crisp finish.
Having only enjoyed and reviewed the Luke red wines previously (Luke Cabernet, Luke Merlot and The Companion Red Blend), we found this white wine to be a very nice addition to the line.
