Australian Wine - The Best Wines From Australia
Shiraz, what else is there to know about Australian wine, right? Well, not so fast. From old vine Grenache to classic Cabernet to some fantastic red blends to surprisingly tasty Riesling to, yes, really good Syrah (or as it's called here Shiraz), Australia has lot to offer across it's varied wine regions.

And while the quality of the wines coming from Australia took a dip a few years ago, we've been mightily impressed with the both the quality, the innovative styles and the reasonable prices of what we have tasted as of late. This makes Australia a great spot for Reverse Wine Snobs to explore!
One other note, just like New Zealand, virtually all of the wine from Australia is covered under screw cap so if you're a wine geek who insists on cork you'll be missing out.
